Riverhead’s popular Cardboard Boat Race is back! The event, which is open to all, is scheduled for Sat., Aug., 3 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. along the Peconic River in Downtown Riverhead.
Winners will be announced and special awards given for best spirit, Titanic sinking, best constructed, and most creative.
Sign-in from 9 to 10:30 a.m., first race at 11 a.m., awards ceremony at 1 p.m.
And if you’d like to participate in the races, which is open to people of all ages, there is a registration fee for each boat of $25 for the captain, each additional “crew” member is $10.
