Join State Park Naturalist Jennifer Murray to observe the quirky American Woodcock Courtship Display during dusk at the preserve. Participants will first meet in the community room at the Hallock State Park Preserve Visitor Center for an overview of this fascinating mating ritual, then if weather appropriate, meet in the upper parking lot before heading on the trail to search for this normally elusive bird. Should it rain, there will not be a hike but an organized activity/craft for kids. This family-friendly program is free. Registration is required by calling 631-315-5475.
