GUNK, the eight-piece, Motown-inspired girl funk band, will bring its energetic and wildly entertaining music to the Jamesport Meeting House on Saturday, January 4 at 7:30 p.m.. GUNK is comprised of local music teachers and musicians who perform on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, trombone, alto saxophone and tenor/baritone saxophone and vocals. While drawing inspiration from the original Motown girl groups of the 1950's and 60's – GUNK delivers a big, brassy up-to-the minute sound that will rock the New Year and keep spirits bright. The energetic sounds of this up-and-coming musical powerhouse appeal to all ages.
