You’re invited! Join Peconic Community School for their 2nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day March and Celebration on Monday, January 20th.
As always, PCS will observe a “day on” in service at school rather than a day off to celebrate MLK Day. And, once again this year, the PCS Student Council has organized a march and celebration that is open to the community!
Things will kick things off at the school with music, poetry, and student and community speeches at the PCS campus in Cutchogue at 10 am before embarking on a march to spread messages of peace, love, justice, and hope through downtown Cutchogue. Once back at campus, gather for soup and hot chocolate, before students dedicate the afternoon to service and art projects including assembling care bags for neighbors experiencing need.
PCS invites you to collect hygiene items including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, socks, gloves, and bottled water. All items may be dropped off at Peconic Community School on Main Road in Cutchogue.
