Join State Park Naturalist Jennifer Murray, also of Turtleback Conservation and Education Center, to explore the wrackline (high tide line) in search of interesting shells, critters, seaweed, and more. Learn about the unique features of this preserve’s shoreline from bank swallows to hoodoos. Go on a shoreline scavenger hunt with your family and partake in a beach clean-up. Pickers and buckets will be available. Be prepared for chilly weather, the shore is usually ten degrees cooler than inland. Meet in the Upper Parking Lot. Inclement weather cancels.
The event is free but the parking fee is $8 per vehicle. Registration is suggested; please call 631-315-5475 to register. To make a donation to Hallock State Park to support their educational programs, CLICK HERE.
