Brick Cove’s Boats + Brine joins the list of weekly events with fun for adults and children alike

With the hump of July 4th behind us, you’ll find many North Fork families in full-on summer mode. Whether your kids are home with you for the summer or enrolled in camp from 9 to 5, when early evening hits it's summery, casual, and easy get-togethers we parents are after — especially when paired with food, drinks, and fun for all.

Joining the family-friendly hangout roundup (see below) is Brick Cove Marina in Southold with its Boats + Brine weekly event launching July 11, and continuing each Thursday throughout the summer season.

“This is an easy one for mom and dad to pack up the kids and show up to — food and drinks are provided, no fee to come check things out, starts early enough to let the kids eat and burn off their energy and tucker them out for bedtime,” said Brick Cove’s head of events, Carla Nemiroff. “Live, local musicians will add an atmosphere and energy to the event.”

Boats + Brine will run from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Each week will feature a food truck, s’mores kits available for purchase, live music, Peeko Oysters, drinks for people of all ages, lawn games, and tons of space for kids to run around safely.

“The food trucks will offer a menu that caters to adults and kids,” added Carla.

On Thursday, July 11, fan-favorite Balo’s Food Truck will be serving up seafood specialties (don’t sleep on their stuffies) and more while guests can enjoy live tunes by Deanna Hudson.

“As a parent, I wanted to create something that is easy to roll up to with the kids, hang for an hour, or four depending on how they're doing, invite other friends there to hang out, bring family that may be visiting — anyone is welcome. No pressure, no fancy outfits required, and drinks will be priced fairly,” Carla told us.

Brick Cove is located at 1760 Sage Blvd. in Southold. Boats + Brine is hosted every Thursday throughout summer from 4 to 8 p.m.

And if you’re looking to round out your week with even more family-friendly fun, here are four additional North Fork event series you’ll want to check out.
