North Fork camps for the upcoming February break

Don’t ask us how, but the February break is right around the corner. If you’re looking for something for your kids to do on the North Fork while school is out we have you covered. From outdoor adventure camp to art camp to Swiftie camp, there’s a program planned for every North Fork kid.

Winter Fun-cation at Long Island Aquarium

Drop your kids off for some winter break fun at the Long Island Aquarium in downtown Riverhead.  Kids ages 5-11 will tour the aquarium, feed the sting rays, check out the sea lion show, visit the arcade, watch a movie, make a craft, and more!  You can send your child for the entire week, or just for a day or two.  You’ll be assured that your child is having a good time in a safe, fun, and educational environment. The cost is $200/week or $50/day. A $10/day lunch option is available and includes a choice of pizza, hot dog, or chicken fingers plus French fries or apple slices, milk, juice or water, and a cookie. Register here!

Winter Swiftie Camp at Inspire Dance Studio

Calling all Taylor Swift lovers, this one’s for you! On both Thursday, Feb 22, and Friday, Feb, 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m., kids, ages 6-10, can dress up in their favorite Swiftie gear and head to Inspire Dance Studio in Southold for a Swiftie Camp. There, they’ll dance to Taylor Swift songs, create a music video, and design their own accessories. Camp attendees will perform for their families on the last day. Outdoor Adventure Camp at Turtleback Farm

From Tuesday, Feb. 20 through Thursday, Feb. 22 join Turtleback Farm for an outdoor adventure camp from 10:00 a.m. until  2:00 p.m. in Cutchogue (exact address given upon registration.) Children ages 7-14 will enjoy campfires, mapping, and explorations galore! Each participant will receive a compass. Make-up day is Friday, Feb. 23 if a day is canceled due to inclement weather. The group will meet in light rain and snow. The cost for the full session is $200/child for the full three days or $80 per day. The Art of Science Winter Break Camp at A Bloom Approach

Drop off your 3 to 6-year-old at A Bloom Approach in Wading River for a morning of fun, art, and sensory play on Friday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. This one-day camp includes science and process art as well as a special snack. $57 per child. Register here.

Winter Wonderland Camp at East End Arts

East End Arts is offering a full-week visual arts, music, and theater camp for kids ages 5-10. This camp, which runs daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., will introduce your child to a broad range of artistic and creative experiences based on a camp-wide literary theme. This year’s theme is based on the award-winning book, Snowflake Bentley. Families are required to pack their own lunch. The full-week camp costs $435, or $348 for members/child. Register here

February Break Mini Camp at Inspire Dance Studio

In addition to the Swiftie Camp, Inspire Dance Studio is also offering a three-day-long camp for children ages 4-8 that will include daily activities, crafts, dancing, and much more. This camp will run from Monday, Feb. 19 through Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Campers will put on a special performance for families on the last day. February Break Camp with Riverhead Rec.

Perfect for families with parents working during the February break, this full-day camp is offered Tuesday, Feb. 20 through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Campers, grades Kindergarten through 6, will enjoy active games, outdoor play, themed days, board games, and more. The camp, hosted at the George Young Community Center in Jamesport, costs $240 per week for residents, $250 for non-residents, $60 per day for residents, and $70 for non-residents. Tumble and train at North Fork Cheer

North Fork Cheer in Cutchogue is offering three different opportunities to busy your kids (ages 5-11) during the break. On Tuesday, Feb. 20, get ready for Glam Day: All Star Cheerleading. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., children will learn the ins and outs of All Star Cheer by learning a routine and enjoying open tumble, as well as “Cheer Glam” with competition makeup, hair, bows, and a photo shoot. The cost is $75/child. On Wednesday, Feb. 21, your kids can enjoy nerf training, obstacles, and challenges from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $40 per/child. On Thursday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., North Fork Cheer has a day of tumble and ninja camp planned. There, they’ll have fun on ninja courses, tumble instruction, and open gym training.
