Hallmark holiday or not, Valentine’s Day is a sweet reminder to savor moments with your most loved ones. These seven kid-centric events planned across the North Fork are a no-brainer way to show your love and soak up that quality time.

Sweetheart Sensory Jam at Inspire Dance Centre

This hour-long sensory jam on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. will include a half hour of sensory play by Little Moments Little Fam followed by a half hour of creative movement by Inspire Dance Centre. Paint a Chocolate Heart Breaker (or chocolate canvas) at Disset Chocolate

Sweet for older kids or teens! On Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m., bring your kiddo along for a fun and unique 90-minute experience where you’ll have the choice of painting a chocolate heart breaker (filled with chocolate-covered malt balls) or a chocolate canvas all with edible paint! Sweetheart Day at Bella Anima Parties

At Bella Anima Parties’ Sweetheart Day, on Saturday, Feb. 10 between 1 and 5:30 p.m., plan a fun “makeover” for the kids in your life with treats and a special keepsake! The session will include things such as hair styling and braiding, tattoos, manicures, facepaint, and more, plus, unlimited pink lemonade, an assortment of sweet treats (please advise us of any allergies when booking), and a special take-home polaroid picture of you and your special little valentine. Valentine’s Themed Playgroup at Stroller Strong Mamas

At this playgroup on Friday, Feb. 9 at 11 a.m., children of all ages will enjoy 45 minutes of play including a read-aloud, music, and a photo op. The cost for this play session is $20/child or $30 for two children. But if you’ll be joining the morning workout beforehand, you’re welcome to join the playgroup for just $10! A Little Sensory Valentine’s Themed Adventure with Little Moments Little Fam at Stroller Strong Mamas

Also hosted at the Stroller Strong Mamas Mattituck studio, this toddler sensory experience led by Little Moments Little Fam will blend art, nature, and play all with a Valentine’s Day theme. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 10:30 a.m. (also on Tues., 2/20 and 2/27) and costs $30/child and $25 per additional child. Valentine’s Day Party at A Bloom Approach

Head to A Bloom Approach in Wading River on Valentine’s Day for an evening of fun, art, and sensory play all with a Valentine’s Day theme. This party on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., will feature cookie decorating, a sweetheart craft, a photo prop kissing booth, and more! Recommended ages, 1-6+ years. Very Valentine by Peconic Dunes Toddler Program

Join Peconic Dunes and celebrate Valentine's Day with messy play and all the fun as children make love potions, hunt for love bugs, paint hearts, and so much more! At this session scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17 from 10 to 11 a.m., kids will make a craft, listen to a story, and enjoy  indoor sensory play, followed by a walk outside along Peconic Dunes Adventure Trail.
