Pack up your family and head to Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead to take a step back in time at the 43rd Annual Country Fair.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, and Sunday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., the Country Fair will welcome fairgoers to the working farm for two days of historic home tours, tractor pulls and parades, skills demonstrations and exhibits, traditional children’s games and activities, pony rides and a petting zoo, baked goods and handcrafted wares for sale by over 35 vendors, and so much more.

“New this year will be the 3rd NY Regiment 1775 Long Island Revolutionary War re-enactors, colonial cooking demonstrator Diane Schwindt, the Islip Horsemen’s Association Spirit of Long Island Mounted Drill Team, and a traditional post-and-beam building demonstration,” Hallockville Museum Farm Executive Director, Heather Johnson shared.

While most fairs and festivals have simply one or two dedicated activities for kids, Hallockville Museum Farm’s Country Fair features many. From a petting zoo and pony rides to a scavenger hunt with prizes, craft tables, potato digging, and hands-on old-fashioned laundry, your petite crew will be busy for hours.

And, don’t miss out on the train barrel ride and kids’ tractor pulls hosted by the neighboring, Long Island Antique Power Association.

“We hope families will learn about the farming heritage of the North Fork and why it is so important to preserve,” Heather added. “We cannot wait to welcome new and returning families at Hallockville for our Country Fair with fun for all and all for a great cause to support Hallockville's mission to take Long Island back to its family farming roots and explore their relevance today.”
