Even if the countdown is hours shy of the real deal it still counts! Celebrate the New Year with these five family-friendly parties and events across North Fork. From bowling to aquatic life to intention setting, there’s a way to ring it in for every family.
Bowl and ball drop
The All Star in Riverhead is hosting a family-friendly New Year’s celebration in the form of a bowling party. The party is scheduled for Tuesday, 12/31 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and includes unlimited bowling and shoe rentals, food and soft drinks, a face painter and balloon artist, sparkling cider or champagne “midnight” toast, and party favors. Create and celebrate
Help your kids set their intentions for the New Year in a workshop hosted by Artfully Long Island and Petite North Fork at Hotel Moraine in Greenport. Your crew will welcome the New Year by creating custom Intentions Mobiles. The workshop is planned for Monday, Dec. 30 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost is $15/child and $12/siblings. Party with the penguins
Riverhead’s Long Island Aquarium has you covered if you’re looking to celebrate the New Year with Fishes and Wishes — a New Year’s Eve family-style party. This special night out, which runs from 6:30 to 11 p.m., includes a cocktail hour, DJ and dancing, a buffet dinner (including beer and wine, cash bar available), dessert and ice cream bar, an animal meet and greet, crafts, and of course, a mock-midnight toast. Something for the kids and for the moms
Stroller Strong Mamas and Little Moments, Little Fam are collaborating on a countdown to the New Year on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Mattituck studio. At 9 a.m., sweat it out in an energizing Stroller Strong Mamas workout followed by a Little Moments Kid’s Slime Party from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Enjoy a special countdown there too! Get glammed up
Get New Year’s Eve ready at Bella Anima in the Shoppes at East Wind in Wading River from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31. At this festive pop-up, children can enjoy manicures, makeup, hair braiding, hair tinsel, and glitter tattoos while sipping pink lemonade and wearing pink spa robes. The cost is $35/child.
