Bundle up your crew and head to downtown Southold on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for a big day of small-town fun with the fourth annual WinterFest.

At this winter-themed event which expects upwards of 2,000 attendees, you’ll find your North Fork neighbors, community, and visitors celebrating the season while enjoying live entertainment and music, shopping local merchants, food, drinks, fun and activities, and more spilling onto Main Road in a street festival-style outdoor event.

“There is something at this year’s WinterFest for everyone and being outside in the fresh air is good for the soul,” said Jennifer Del Vaglio, WinterFest Founder and Owner of East End Pool King.

Festival entertainment includes live ice sculpting by ice artist, Dan Bergin, a stilt walker, live performances by GUNK Girl Band, The Hoodo Loungers, Lady T Dance Troupe, NYC’s Empahsis Break Dancers, and others.

“WinterFest offers a lot for the family including sand craft, snowman card creations, family selfie stations, face painting, cupcake decorating, a caricature artist, ice carvings, and more,” shared Brian Q. Smith, WinterFest Operations Coordinator. Kids will also enjoy hair tinseling, popcorn stations, and s’mores.

Worrying about making it home for lunchtime? Don’t! WinterFest will also feature four food trucks covering everything from local eats to dessert with many kid-friendly options throughout. For the adults, local wines and spirits will be available for purchase.

Along Main Road, in addition to the village merchants, be sure to visit CAST, First Presbyterian Church, North Fork Taps and Corks, the Southold Historical Society, the Southold Free Library, and the Southold Village Square and Gazebo where events and activities will be held throughout the day.

WinterFest is free and open to all.

“The goal is to provide a fun day to stimulate business activity during the winter and celebrate the community of the Town of Southold,” said Jennifer.

See you there, Petite friends!
